Justin Bieber’s record-breaking continues as he has become the first artist to reach a staggering 10 billion views on Vevo!
Bieber has managed this feat in just over six years. In a statement to Billboard, Vevo said “Justin quickly gained momentum, as well as the top spot on Vevo’s chart, which he has maintained for 19 consecutive weeks.”
Out of the 10 billion views, more than four billion of those have come since September, following the release of videos for tracks from Bieber’s latest album Purpose. His number one hits ‘Sorry’ and ‘Love Yourself’ have 1.1 billion and 445 million views respectively.
Bieber is one of three artists, alongside Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, to have two videos with over a billion views on Vevo, however, it looks as if he will be able to break another record soon. His video for ‘What Do You Mean?’ currently stands at 887 million views and looks likely to reach a billion views over the next few weeks. He will then be able to add the title of being the only artist to have three videos with one billion views to his long list of records!
Congratulations to Beliebers (and all you secret fans) for helping Justin Bieber to achieve this incredible record!
